Hello! I'm Alexandra.
> [!info]
I'm a second-year at Columbia studying Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. I'm interested in data, AI, ML, healthtech, and design.
In my spare time, I read essays and sci-fi, design stickers for my laptop, play Set, scroll Wikipedia pages on music history with Columbia Quiz Bowl, and am a mediocre birdwatcher.

$ cd "research"
I am currently developing a hybrid machine learning model for hazard analysis in chemical engineering at the Complex Resilient Intelligent Systems Lab @ Columbia. Previously, I worked on a Python-based pipeline to quantify blood flow in an Alzheimer’s mouse model through the Simons Summer Research Program, which was published here.
$ ls "programming experience"
I like to program
- in:
Python
Java
C/C++
JavaScript
HTML/CSS
Bash
- using:
React
Node.js
Express
Socket.IO
Firebase
VSCode (light mode)
I last interned as a full-stack developer for an early-stage healthtech startup. I'm currently a teaching assistant for Discrete Math (COMS3203) at Columbia, where I think very hard about the mathematical foundations of computer science.
You can find some of my projects on my GitHub.
